This is the story one little family
making its way from the
salty shores of New England
to the suburbs of Chicago.
It won't always be easy,
but as long as we're together,
we'll find a way to bloom where we're planted.

More Phun with Phonics

I love being able to see inside Ben's imagination through the stories he writes and illustrates in kindergarten.

And I have to say I'm pretty impressed with some of these words!!

It's a Grumpy teething kind of morning

Nothing that a sling, some mama love, a dose of Motrin and some Elizabeth Mitchell on Pandora can't cure.

Parenting 101:
It's always when I find myself trying to run away from a grumpy child, that I need to recognize THAT is when they need me most!  Instead of running away from them, I actually need to get closer to solve the problem.  The magic of physical touch can never be underestimated.

Right now Maeve is out of her sling and plastering me with hugs and kisses.   I'm sure the Motrin had something to do with it, but I like to think that the rest of it was important too!

"Um, Mommy?  Where can we put Maeve so she stops ruining all our stuff that we're playing with?"
- Molly
