Molly's Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Verdun, is focusing her writing lessons on helping the children to become confident and comfortable in putting pencil to paper and writing down what they sound out. They have learned all the letters of the alphabet, and all of the basic sounds that those letters make. So when they want to write something down, they have the tools they need to begin spelling them out - phonetically. Apparently, Molly is one of her most confident writers - she loves writing!
Decoding what she writes can be a challenge though, as you have to train yourself to READ phonetically! Molly takes her phonics rules VERY seriously and writes words exactly as she says them.
She brought home the most adorable worksheet today. It said

Did you get it??? Ice is slippery...dripping...icey, hard...and my personal favorite, SEE THROUGH!!!!

LOVE it...sefroo I would have been smiling from ear to ear. She used her visual and physical senses...cool! Even got 2 out of the 3 phases of water, solid, liquid and gas. You have a genius on your hands. :)
Sarah got Molly's letter today and said could you please call Auntie Beth and ask her what molly wrote. I said Autie might not even know.
What might this word be? (Haaiplapdait) Not sure what she means. If you could let sarah know that woudl be great.
I think we figured it out. She wants to have a Playdate with her.

BAHAHAHAHAHA, Molly is the flippin' cutest!! Jude, did that letter make you smile? I read Molly's letter to Santa and seriously it was the funniest thing. Woot! :-)
