This is the story one little family
making its way from the
salty shores of New England
to the suburbs of Chicago.
It won't always be easy,
but as long as we're together,
we'll find a way to bloom where we're planted.

House #1: Navy Blues

This homeowner loved the color navy, it was in every room! But the walls and floors were all neutral and the place was move-in perfection! We got our own case of the blues though, when we saw the back yard. Or actually, the LACK of one. The lot backed up to a gorgeous park and playground, but all we'd get that was our own was a tiny little patio.

PRICE: on a scale of $ to $$$$$, this bad boy was a $$$$ and a half. In other words too much money to justify lacking one of our must-haves.

Any idea what this sweet little thing can do? I've lusted after one since I first discovered them many moons ago. Such a simple thing really - it's a vacuum box that you sweep your kitchen floor crumbs into, instead of busting out the dust pan! Ingenious!!!

Crumb catcher notwithstanding, so sad that this house isn't right for us. Because the inside is SO RIGHT, but the outside is SO NOT. Ever have a significant other who was lovely to look at but not much to talk to? Yeah. Like that. We need a WHOLE PACKAGE kind of house.
